Is it really morning?

Last night JR & Tammi had us over for dinner and it was great. JR and Tammie move into the basement suit in March 2007 and stayed until February 2008. When they first moved in we were both like 8 months pregnant in fact our due dates we only six days apart. Well AJ came a week early and abby was like two weeks late, but they both got here and that is when we really started getting to know each other. Being stay at home, first time Mom's we were always checking with each other on things and soon we were great friends. It's weird how you can see someone so much but then when they move away, even just 10 minutes, ow hard it is to find time for each other! Anyways Tammi has been really great a staying n touch and since we are leaving soon she insisted we come for dinner. It was great! Not having to worry about supper was so nice in this crazy busy life of mine and we were able to catch up. Thanks Guys!
I don't know why they were so into their Dad's but they just would not look at us!

Finally after much whistling, barking, and having the Dad's move behind us we were able to get this one.
And then we came home........ Grrrrrr. AJ was really hyper when we got home so we gave home some milk and let him run around a bit to work of the energy. Finally we tucked him in at 9:30 and he went right to sleep. Aaron and I Tucked in around 11:30 only to be woken up at 1:00. AJ was freaking out, I left him for 30 minutes but then I started to worry that something might be wrong. Aaron brought him into our bedroom and he laid with me till twoish but he just wouldn't go to sleep. I was so frustrated, even more so for Aaron since he had to be up for work at 7 this morning. Age and I spent the night watching TV, snuggling, and dealing with tantrums ever 30 - 45 minutes. Finally at 5AM he says's to me, "Night, Night?" YIPPIE!!!!!! He took 20 minutes to fall asleep and had to be laying right on me but he fell asleep. Poy kissed us good-bye at 7:25 and 10 minutes later AJ was up and ready fr the day. So here we are, eating breakfast and watching Tad and all I have to say is: YUCK!

Here's my early attempts at getting him back to sleep, notice the lack of smile.

Bad Mom?

So we were outside playing with Zoe and AJ came over and was like, "Treat?" So I thought I would get Zoe some water and a pigs ear. After filling her water dish I ran inside to get the pigs ear and when I came back out this is what I found....

HA HA HA, The best part is, my first reaction was to grab the camera! It was so funny. By the time I snapped the photo Zoe had gotten her fill and AJ was alone at the watering hole but it's still so cute. Don't worrie I got him out of the water right away and told him "No, No." for future refrence!

"The Last Supper"

I know that everyone wishes that I would just move already so I could stop stressing about it via my blog but it is almost over, just 4 more days! Yesterday was a great day, we went to church, had a nap and then had a big family dinner. This family dinner was given the nick name of, "The Last Supper" which means it had to have all the best food. Mom picked the menu and together her and Dad pulled off a fantastic meal! We had Roast Beef, BBQ Corn on the Cob, Fresh Garlic mashed potato's, and carrots from the Hill's garden. It was so delicious!!! (look past Dust who is grumpy we aren' eating yet, to the delicious food!)Everyone was able to make it except for Jess, unfortunately he got called in to cover someone shift, sorry Jess you really missed out! Then we played "Like minds" it's one of our many board games, if you haven't played it I would defiantly recommends it! We kept it simple with Chocolate cake and ice cream but AJ wouldn't have it any other way. Dustin tried to sit on the floor and eat until AJ practically took over his plate!
Although we will all be together again at Christmas we were all a little sad for he evening to end. We have a family dinner at least once a month so 3 months seems like a long time to not get together, but I'm sure we'll adjust! After every one had gone it was time for Grandma to say her Good-byes to AJ. It was his bedtime and since she and Dad will be leaving at 4:00AM this would be her last chance to snuggle him up before we move. It was not easy to watch her give him one last kiss but I know that we will see her again soon, AJ was fine he thought it was just another goodnight kiss.
So Mom is off to Medicine Hat for the week, Dad will be travelling in between until he picks her up on Friday, at which time we will be on the road to Portland. For any of you who don't know my mom she is is just awesome. We are best friends and have the same sense of humor, she is defiantly one of the nicest people you will ever meet and she dose EVERYTHING for our Family! I am so proud of her and love her so much, I will be fasting all day for you Mom!!!! Good luck and I can't wait to come visit Wednesday before I move! Lots of Love and Best wishes.

Here's my boys maxin' and relaxin' at the family dinner, aren't they so good looking!?

Hibernation

Lorraine and I made pie after pie (4 apple, 5 pumpkin, and 2 Saskatoon!) while three generations of Poytress men completed the finish work in the Poytress house. Over the past few months they have done a major overhaul on the house and it looks beautiful. I don't have before pictures but I will see if they do so I can post them.
Grandpa Chuck, Al, and Aaron worked from 9:00 until 4:00 getting everything perfect and then passed out until people started showing up around 5:00.
EVERYONE was there, it was a great big Poytress Party. I haven't seen everyone in a while especially uncle T and Aunt Lynn. It was so great to see them and catch up. Unfortunately Jen, Blake, & the cute little Jayce couldn't make it but we get it, they have their own move in the works! Anyways it was a great time and as always it was hard to watch people go, knowing that we won't see them again till Christmas. The whole night was very surreal to me and I am still feeling like I will see them in a few weeks for a family dinner or something. I love the Poytress family they are so relaxed and as soon as your with them, your family! I have never felt unwelcome and over the past 4 years I have come to love them all so very much. Our good-byes were casual but heart felt and as I drove home that night couldn’t help having a little cry. Love you guys!

You know how bears eat a lot of food right before they start hibernating for the winter? Well that is kind of like what we are doing, we've had BBQ after BBQ and so many dinners out with our friends that I am sure I have gained a good 10 pounds. We'll see if the struggling life of students can help wear it off, lol. I am sure it's no surprise that yesterday we had a Massive BBQ at Al and Lorraine to say good-bye to our extended family. What a day. We left early to spend Saturday with the Poytress family, our time left in Canada is depleting fast and so we are trying to spend as much time with our families as possible!

Working on it.

We had a great weekend and I am working on the post but I have to get some pictures from Al and Lorrains camera before I can post. This week I feel like I am in limbo. We still have 10 days before we move which means it is to early to start getting all our stuff at my parents packed up and organized. However I have been on the phone setting up our inernet, phone, energy, and clarifying things with the boarder that I just want to get this move over with! O the other hand I want this week to last FOREVER because my parents leave on Sunday and I most liky won't see them again untill Christmas!!!!! Oh hum. So this is just a blog about nothing, complaining and what not, here is a really cute picture of AJ to make up for it!

Saying Good-bye

Family is so important to me. My whole life I have had this amazing support system backing me up, something that not everyone has. Growing up with a single Mom I have naturally been very close to the Fairbanks family. As I got older both my Mom and Dad got remarried, I was overwhelmed with all the new family. Not to mention getting to know all the Tolmans again. Then I met Aaron and soon the Poytress and Dye Families became mine as well, talk about overload!!! Just when I thought my family couldn't get any better, it did. I love the Poytress's so much they are my family and I know that they love us unconditionally. After getting married I was sure that I loved so many people my heart must surly be full, and then AJ showed up. LOL, isn't a parents love amazing, it's can never be put into word, it is something one must feel to appreciate. Cousins, Aunts, Uncles, and Grandparents have always meant the world to me and as I begin to say my good-bye I am filled with more Love and Gratitude than I can express.
Last night we went out to visit Grandma & Grandpa Fairbanks. They live in Taber and I try to get out to see them as often as possible, but when I am with them I always realize that it has been way to long. For the 5 or so years my Mom was single my Grandpa kind of stepped in as a father figure. He taught me to jump on the tramp with the water on it, how to properly make a plate of melted cheese, where you go to get money for your pop cans, and the right way to fill his ice bucket. Grandpa was there the morning Levi was born to take care of us, he gave me fathers blessings and took me in the waters of baptism. Grandpa Dick is one of my Hero's and there are very few people who have found their way so deep into my heart, I love him and saying our good-bye's reduced me to tears.
Then there is my Grandma. The cutest little lady you will ever meet. She is so sweet and can seem so fragile but I know better. Growing up I watch my grandma work full time at the bishops store house to support her family. As my grandpa suffered stroke after stroke my grandma was there. Always by his side, being strong for him, for her girls, and for all of us grand kids. She is a pillar of strength and from her I learned how to be strong, Optimistic, and how to lean on the Lord in times of trial. Grandma was not afraid to use her wooden spoon if the situation called for it but we respect her and even more than that we Love her. Many family dinners where prepared in her kitchen, by her hand. She taught me how to use a cookie press and the right way to sprinkle your sort bread. I love her so much and as I grow up she has become a friend, someone I can call to talk to, or go visit anytime. My Grandma has helped make me the woman I am today and I can never thank her enough for the impart she has had on my life!
I LOVE YOU GUYS!

P.S. We took the pictures when we first got their so we wouldn't be all red and blotchy, he he.

Dark Knight

Tonight we went out with our Friends Angi and Jeff, as well as my cosines Jay and his fiance Steph, and Josh with his wife to be Shayla. We went to see the Dark Knight which I was a little apprehensive about, it's no secret that I don't do well in scary movies. E.T. = 10 years of nightmares, need I say more. Anyways I have been wanting to see Dark Knight since it came out and so I deiced it was time, I loved it. What a great movie, it was well made, and there wasn't one swear or inappropriate scene in the whole movie. I thought that Heath Ledger did a great job of the Joker, but I didn't find it to be overly dark and Creepy. It was just like the comic book, Fabulous!
We went out for some cheesecake and spent some time catching up, isn't it funny how moving away makes you get together with people you haven't even seen in a while? Jay and Steph took off before we got out of our movie, they saw MAMA MIA, a must own in my opinion but they didn't seem to agree! Angi has always been one of my close friends but since she got married she has been in Arizona selling, I am so glad she got back in time to hang out. I will sure miss all my friend and family! Here is Josh passed out on Shayla, he just got back from Africa and was living on two hours sleep in like 36 hours or something crazy like that. Oh young love, he he.
