Pumkin Patch - Take two

Friday afternoon was beautiful here. The leaves are all changing, the air has that crisp fall chill, and the sun was shining which ment perfect conditions for a second take at the pumkin patch.

As soon as the boys where home we piled into the cars and made our way to a new pumkin patch called leipoled farms. There was so much to do, see, and eat! I would definatly recommend it to any family living in the area. The best part was that our boys are so young everything was FREE.
It was $5.00 for a pony ride so we just let the boys feed the horse and sit on it, with out going any where. Same thrill minuse the cost!

You can see how excited Miles was to get out of the house and be at the pumpkin patch because it's so diffrent than what he dose at home all day, lol.This was a tuff one to pri the boys away from, if it was up to them they'd still be going round, and round, and round..... This was so fun! It was like a sand box but full of dry corn kernals, I think Lyndz and I enjoyed it more than the kids.
I thought this one would make Grandpa Hill really proud, what grandfather dosen't dream of seeing their handsome grandson as a beautiful flower!
Of course everything is a photo shoot, much to my husbands dismay, but here are some of the cute shots we got whilt picking our pumpkin.









Here's AJ helping me get the hay off my bum after sitting down for family pictures. He was very conserened about me and my dirty pants.
Here are the boys with their winning pumpkins, they were hard to find but well worth it! Dust and Aaron both picked 36 pounders while Age and Becks both came in under 3 pounds.


We couldn't go all day without a family photo. I tried the selftimer but Lyndz had to help me out in the end.

AJ's First Ice Cream Cone

Yesterday AJ had his first ice cream cone. We don't eat a lot of ice cream so we
never really have it around the house but yesterday Nicole introduced him to it's awesomeness. After eating his hot dog it was time to go home but Nicole made him a cone for the road and boy was he excited!

Zoo Trip

Here's a few pictures from our family Zoo trip. I have written about the Zoo a million times so there's not much more to say but I did want to post a few pictures of our last trip.

Flash Back.

My last post got me looking back at when we first took AJ to the pool. I know it's not great quality but I wanted to post his little video too. It's funny how similar my boys are while still being so different!
Also I found this little jem. Befor having Miles I had 4 hours a day to myself while AJ was napping, looking back I realize I should have been sleeping but no. During those naps I would stay up and find interesting ways to occupy my time....Like this.

Pool Trip

It just wouldn't be brake if we didn't make a family trip down to the pool. It was a bit of a bummer since both slides we out of commission and we aren't allowed in the how tub but we still managed to have a little fun!

Since it was Miles first trip to a nice clean indoor pool we just had to do the dunk.

The Pumpkin Patch - Take 1

With the boys on brake and Halloween fast approaching we thought we would head out to the Sauvie Island Pumpkin Patch before the crowds hit. It was pretty rainy out but I spotted a patch of blue sky and convinced Poy it was still a good idea. With all the kids and the Tolmans in tow we made the 30 minute drive to the farm.

Unfortunately the rain did not stop, in fact the closer we got the more rain we saw. I was starting to think this trip end up being a waste of time and gas but then the clouds parted and the sun came out....for a minute.

We decided to check out the animals in the barn and wait out the rain. The boys loved it especiall the roosters with their Cock-a-doodle-do!



We took shelter in their farmers market and were able to pick up some corn on the cob and fresh apple but the rain would not let up. Finally I asked when the next hay ride out to the field would be,

"Oh the Hay rides don't start till tomorrow, October 1st. But you are more than welcome to walk back to the Field, it's about a 20 minute walk. I would say you could drive but the path is so muddy you would get stuck for sure."


WHAT!!!!! So that was that, we wandered around for about 45 minutes, purchased some produce, and made our way home pumpkin less. However this is not the end! I have spent my whole life picking pumpkins from a box at Safeway and I am determined to have the whole experience this year, Pumpkin Patch WE WILL RETURN!

5 years old!

Last week a very special friend of ours had a very special day, Megan turned 5 years old! She is getting to be such a big girl a one of AJ's very best friends, in fact this was the first birthday party AJ has ever been to. (I mean that wasn't a family affair) We had such a blast playing with Megan and discovering the joys of Chuck-E-Cheese. Happy Birthday Meg, thanks for a great time!Since Aaron was up in Canada Jord filled in and helped Age out with the race games, THANKS JORD!Here's the crew up at the table having fun while all the Mom's try and talk them in to eating a little pizza.
