The Pools OPEN!!!!

We are so excited that the pool is open! Even though the weather has been less than favorable we have been at the pool almost everyday since it opened on the May long weekend. IF it is raining we hit up the hot tub for an hour or so and if not we are all about the pool. I have been wanting to post about the pool but I realized that I haven't really taken any pictures at the pool this year, just a few videos. Opps! Anyways we are loving it and I thought that you would all love this just as much. Miles and AJ on their way to the pool. (Miles is the one in the speedo ha ha ha!) He's a few of somem of our water time over teh past few weeks, enjoy!

May long with the Granpoytress's

It may have only been a few days but Al and Lorraine where able to get down here for Saturday and Sunday of the May long weekend and it was such a treat! We loved having them over for breakfast, going to the Saturday Market, hitting up the pool, and being treated to some delicious Red Robins!

We let the boys bring their swim stuff and play in the water, I am pretty sure it was their favorite part of the weekend. Personally I loved the kettle corn!
THIS KID LOVES WATER! He is seriously the happiest when he is being blasted in the face with freezing cold water, what a nut! I love, love, LOVE this about my little Miles, smooch! After Sunday breakfast, playtime, church, and a little nap we decided to head north along the historic highway. We relaxed while enjoying the beautiful twisty road surrounded by huge old trees and thick green foliage. (that's right I just said foliage!) Anyways we ended up at crown point, if you haven't been you need to go! What a gorgeous view of the Columbia river and the green gorge. Unfortunately we have not pictures to show for it as Al left his SD card back in the vet and I chose to bring only one of my FIVE batteries. Of course the one I chose was already dead....what a bummer!

After that we made our way to Multinoma falls. It was a beautiful afternoon with very few other people around and a great way to get out and get the boys a little exercises. We loved showing off this beautiful hot spot to Grandma and enjoying our time together. Thanks so much for making the the journey down we LOVED seeing you guys, as always!

New family Pets!

Spring has brought us so many wonderful things but I think one of our favorite new additions is all of our new family pets.....THE ANTS!!!!

My boys love to lay out on the grass and watch all the busy little ants. They sit quietly for hours, wispering about what each ant is doing and pointing out new ant they see to eachother. They pick them up and take turnes trying to get them to eat teeny tiny peices of bread. It's a great time to get a little sun tanning or reading while my boys bond with eachother and their new best friends, the ants.

T-R-O-U-B-L-E!

My Grandma Fairbanks worked at the bishop store house for over twenty years and every year the church head quarters sends out a thank-you/Christmas gift to all it's workers. Grandma received many great books over the years and I think after 15 years of service she received a beautiful set of calf skin scriptures with a typed letter from the first presidency thanking her for her service in the store house and then it was signed by president Hinkly and his two councilors. Way cool! When I went into seminary I didn't have a great set of scriptures and so Grandma decided to pass these scriptures on to me, what a treasure.

I have had them since I was 16 and absolutely love these scriptures. In high school I always carried them in my back pack, the lived with me in Edmonton when I first moved out on my own, they are the scriptures I studied when I was deciding if Aaron was the one for me, the pages I poured over as we started our marriage, helped me with talks, read from in lessons, and so on and so on! To me they are very special, priceless, to Miles however........well he doesn't seem to view them in the same light as me.

Miles loves books. He loves to read and be read too, he especially loves to take whatever book I am reading and pretend that he is reading it. He can fake read my books for 20-30 minutes, IT'S GREAT! He has only torn one of my books and he quickly learned that that is huge NO NO!!!! Since then I haven't really worried about him with my books BIG MISTAKE!

While doing laundry on my bed I had to run to pee, hello pregnant, and while I was gone Miles got my scriptures off the dresser and......
My heart was broken, so sad.

April

I see that the more kids you have the less blogging time there seems to be. Of course this is not true for all women, I see many food and fun blogs out there who's authors have 4 or more kids so...... I guess it's just me! ha ha ha. Anyways I am getting more and more pregnant, which is how it usually goes, and getting More and more uncomfortable. I have crazy heartburn, migraines once a week, and some minor hip and back pain but as far as the weight gain I am doing much better than I did with my other two ( AJ 70 LBS, Miles 50 LBS) so that's good new!

We also moved from our upstairs apartment to the one directly below us, Dustin and Lynz old place. You man think this is a bit silly especially when we only had 10 months left but trust me, it was the right choice! I have already uttered many prays of thanks that I didn't have to haul groceries up the stairs or help Miles while he figures out how to get up and down. More importantly this is why we moved:

Can you believe how grown up these boys are???? When did that happen? they are like little men!
We also had some beautiful weather which means playtime at the park! The boys are in bed three out of five nights when Aaron gets home so on his earlier days the boys like to take full advantage and run him ragged. He we are wearing him out at the park before dinner one night.

Also we sold our double strollers (sit and stand because it sux and is so hard to stear) and got this at a consignment sale. The jeep double umbrella stroller, I LOVE IT!!!!!! This stroller kick the butt of any other double stoller I have ever tried, so go get one!

AJ loves to take pictures so we let him take control of the camera during our sunday walk and here's a few of his greatest shots:

Unfortunatly since these pictures where taken the sun has gone into hidding but we have a fingers crossed that it will be back for good one day soon. Until then we just take what we get and cross our fingers that it lasts longer than an hour!

Peterson's in town

As usually my parents came down for Easter weekend this year. It fell right at the end of April which was a little weird but we are happy to have them come down ANYTIME! Aaron was pretty busy with school, and a golf tournament so it was just me and the boys left to entertain the Grandparents. We decided to hit up the Zoo, since the boys have been dying to go and I could avoid doing this:Pushing the stroller! ha ha ha, the more pregnant I get the less like pushing I fell but I guess it helps keep the weight off right??? Anyways it was actually a beautiful day for us to wander the Zoo and then hit up PINE STATE BISCUIT. I'm sure remember the post about our family trip there a few months back and the heart attack on a plate that Aaron devoured, well it defiantly caught my Dads eye so off we went! It's a tiny little hole in the Wall but we were able to get a table and snuggle up to enjoy our lunch.
I forget what this is called but it's what Mom ordered. It looked really good but it had a 5 seed mustard and a whole slather of pickles (two things Mom is not a big fan of) so she just at the chicken and scraped everything else of the biscuit to enjoy it plain. You may be curious as to why she order this sandwich if she hates pickles and mustard.....she chalks it up to "line panic!" to many people behind her not enough time to really peruse the menu. LOL, Oh Mom!Here's Dad enjoying his heart attack on a plate, YOU GO DAD!Sunday was Easter and Aaron and I both spoke in church, which was kind of fun to have Mom and Dad there for, and then it was home for a big Easter dinner! It was so delicious I could have eaten it all by myself. We had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa we only wish they could have stayed longer!!!!!

AJ is 4!

I am having the hardest time getting over the fact that AJ is already 4! Do I say that every year in his birthday post? I just feel like time is whizzing by and he is growing up even faster than I thought he would. I swear with every child you have you time moves twice as fast!

Anyways AJ is a great kid. I am so proud of the little man he has grown into. People are constantly telling me how polite and well behaved he is. I never worry about him hitting or acting out at other people houses in fact he is usually the one taking the abuse. Poor kid. Sometime Miles hits him, which we are working on, but the other day he was being so mean I told AJ, "the next time he hits you like that hit him back." "No Mom, I don't want to hurt my little brother!" so cute!

He teacher said he is top of his class and one of the best behaved kids she teaches. She also said that he is the best baseball player in his class! He loves sports, mostly baseball and basketball, and most of all he loves to swim! I can't wait for the pool to open this year so I can see how well he does. We spend A LOT of time in the hot tub through the rainy season.

Something else I love about AJ is his love of music. He knows how to get itunes all set up and find his favorite songs. First he moves the computer chair out of the way, gets his fake electric guitar to rock out with, crank up the volume, and it's time to Rock!!!! He is pretty well rounded in his taste mostly he loves old rock (were could he have gotten that from?) but he likes some pop, country, and other stuff as well. Right now these are his top 5 most played songs:

Dude (looks like a lady) - Aerosmith
White wedding - Billy Idol
Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds - the Beatles
You can't hurry Love - the Dixie Chicks
Whip It - Devo

He knows the words to all these songs and many more, I seriously need to get his performance on tape soon! He is so cute when he's in "rock star" mode.

He has slept in the pitch black his whole life and recently decided he's afraid of the dark, which means he got his own night light from Ikea. It has a green bulb and is right by his pillow. He also has pictures of dinosaurs tacked to the wall by the light to keep him safe from monsters. He can't go to sleep with out his nightly snuggles, a nose rub, smooch, hug, and asking me the questions. The questions happen when I am on my way out the door after snuggle, " do you have your tickets? purse? wallet? keys? Okay have a good night with Dad on the couch and I will come get you in the middle of teh night if I see any monsters! love you Mom!" He also has to be in bed by 6:30 or else he does not go to bed well, he flips his lid and says how scared he is and screams for more than an hour until he is finally to tired and falls asleep.

He loves taking pictures and is constantly asking to use the camera. He will wander all over the house taking pictures of everything or just hang out in the stroller on a walk and snap away. He likes to take pictures of things and then go up to the table with the camera and try to draw a picture of the things he took a picture of.

His best friends are the Wagner girls, they see each other pretty much everyday. The three of them all get along so well. He really misses Beckam and sometimes they play a game that they are the Tolmans and he always say's he wants to be Becks, ha ha ha. When we were in the car a few days ago he said to me:

"Mom when I grow up I am going to be a Dad and have 10 kids. Then my kids will call you Grandma and Dad Grandpa."
"that will be so fun AJ I can't wait!"
long pause........ "and Mom."
"Yes"
"they'll call Megan Mom"
"oh okay"

HA HA HA, It was so cute. Miles has a crush on Erika and follows her like a puppy, Erika like AJ and is always wanting to hug him, sit by him, hold his had, and then AJ is totally in love with Megan. He has told me that he is going to marry her more than once. Megan one the other had has eyes only for a little boy from school. One day AJ told her,"I don't like to talk about that boy cuz we aren't friends with him, just me and you are friends."

Anyways he is 3 foot 4 inches, 32.5 lbs, and the spiting image of his Dad. He's shy and quiet in public and a crazy man the minute he get home. He's got the biggest heart and the sweetest smile and I love him more than I thought I ever could!
Happy Birthday Charlie!

AJ's birthday at school with his best friend Emma:
For AJ's party we decided to go bowling and out for pizza. Thank goodness I had Bex and Cole there to help out with the kids, other wise I would have had a really tuff time. Lucy decided she wasn't into the party and screamed and cried everytime I took her off my lap so......yeah I needed their help! The kids had so much fun and with all my coupons and everything this party only ended up costing me$15.00 including decorations and treat bags, AWSOME!
