Animals and Sunshine.
Since this summer has been a cold one we really like to take advantage of any sunshine that comes our way. That is why when the sun came out we called up the Claytons and speed over to the Zoo. It was a beautiful day and the boys had a blast, as usual!
Nothing but love for old T-Rex!
My handsome 4 year old, getting so big!
Oh Miles, looks like you got my lazy eye, SORRY! but look how handsome you are I think its cute!
waiting for the bird show to start, AJ couldn't wait to see the, "eye-bald Eagle" as he calls it.
Miles could have played with this Lion cub all day. i think it's his favorite part of the whole Zoo.
The sea lions, Classic!
Waiting for a bird to come drink from his juice cup......None ever did and it broke my heart for him. I am such a smoochy Mom, my heart breaks for them everyday for the silliest reasons!

Fathers Day
Fathers Day is all about showing our number one Dad just how much we love him, and this year was no exception. We started off the day with a nice long sleep in for Dad followed by a delicious family breakfast. The Boys insisted that Aaron open his gifts right away and then proceeded to wrestle him for the rest of the morning. After church we spent the day playing out back, BBQ, playing at the park, and showing Dad just how much we loved having him as our Dad.

Although Aaron is ridiculously busy with school and clinic he is constantly doing all he can to get home and spend time with me and the boys. He loves being here for dinner and giving the boys their baths. They on the other hand love WRESTLE time the best followed by story time and our favorite...FAMILY SNUGGLE! Even when Aaron can't be here at night they always sing I'm so glad when Dad comes home nice and loud because they think he can hear it from over at the school and they want him to know they are thinking of him, pretty darn cute!
When Aaron does have a day off he love to spend it at the driving range with AJ, the pool with the family, the park with the boys, or just out in the back teaching the boys how to play sports or exploring for bugs. His life is our boys and he is never happier than when he is all wrapped up in their little world. I can't wait for our next little baby to get here, I just love seeing Aaron with our babies, he is such a big softy!

I know it's not husband's day but I think it all kind of goes hand in hand and I want to take a minutes to thank Aaron for being not only an amazing Dad but the perfect husband, for me! I must admit I can be a handful and adding in all the pregnancy hormones doesn't really help but Aaron take it all in stride. He is caring, patient, understanding, and always willing to do what it takes to make me happy. You are a huge blessing in my life and I love you more thank I can say, happy fathers Day!

Another Day at the pool
This has been on of he coldest summers I can ever remember, especially for Portland. We haven't had more than a hand full of days above 25 degrees. WHAT A BUMMER! We don't let that ruin our days though, rain or shine you can find us pool side or I guess hot tub side, livin' it up. I know that I am not in the greatest shape of my life but hey, I'm 8 months pregnant here and needed some pictures with my boys. NO JUDGING!

hOW CAN TIME FLY BY SO FAST????? This is me and AJ this year and jsut two years ago when he was my only baby, CRAZY!

Newport weekend away
Now that Aaron is almost done school he is working in the Clinic which means no more 2 week vacations. It's kind of a bummer but I guess you don't get a two week break every three months in real life either so.....yeah. He is able to book some time off and so he took off Monday and Tuesday so we could enjoy and extra long weekend as a family.
A few days before Aaron's time off some of our good friends, Ashley and Jeff Clayton, invited us out to the coast to spend the night. They have access to some great places that are really cheap with their time share so off we went! It was a long drive for the boys but they did great!
We stopped in Lincoln city for a little shopping and then hit up McDonald's for some lunch. Ummmm.... I think that crown and toy belong to Miles Dad!
It was a beautiful Day on the coast, in fact I have never been to the Portland coast on such a beautiful day. It was in the high 70 with no wind! We parked the cars and headed right to the beach, not wanting to miss a minute off the great weather. I think we ended up staying about 3 hours. The boys loved every minute of it and even though I thought they might be a little apprehensive about the ocean they proved me wrong!

The boys where so happy to have their Dad there to spend some time with. He is so good to get out there and play with them, what a great Dad!

Miles LOVED being in the sand and making a mess, Thankfully he is no longer into eating it!

After an....interesting night which involved very little sleep, we were back on the beach exploring! It was a little cooler but we still had a great time.

Holy Preggo, now you know why I stayed behind the camera, ha ha ha!
Then it was off to the peir for a little crabbing, the boys loved watching for boats and seeing how many crabs their Dad's could catch.
What great helpers!

For any of you that have been crabbing you know there is a lot of wait time in between casts so we had to find something to keep us occupied.......ICE CREAM!

The trip really tuckered out the boys and brought out Aarons true colors
