Jorpo's Grad

I know that it has been a week since my last post so I have a lot t catch you up on. On Thursday night we went out to Fort Macleod for the annual Blue and White. Jordan is involved in all the school sports and will be graduating this year so we went out to see what awards he would be presented with. Since the cerimony usuall lasts about three hours we left AJ at home with Dusting and Lyndsey. the evening started out with the Jr. High and the drama award, it was a little slow. During this time I realized it's time for a pedicure, yuck!

It was a really great date night for poy and I, Jordan came home with every award there is, and we were able to sit and visit at the Poytress's untill 11:00. Jordan is a really amazing guy and we are so happy that AJ has him to look up to. All of the award presenters had nothing but good things to say about him, what a great missionary he's going to make!

Rainy Days

All the worms are officially drowned in Lethbridge, the rain can stop any day now! We have been stuck in the house ever since we got back from Arizona but at least we have our fun trip to look back on! Since the sump pump in our home is unusually noise and located directly under AJ's bedroom, he's been sleeping in our closet. It's not the best set-up but it works. After a few long night's AJ and Aaron couldn't fight it anymore and finally crashed

They sure are good looking boys!
It hasn't all been soggy days stuck in side since we got back. Last night our good friends Toad & Chuck had us over for dinner. We had delicious quesadillas followed by Aaron's all time favorite Banana Cream Pie!!! Char-lane did an amazing job on dinner and it was so nice to get out of the house. Before getting AJ home to bed we stopped over at the Derricott's to meet their newest little family member, Sadie June. She is a beautiful, healthy, baby girl, talk about giving a girl baby fever!! Just kidding, hearing about her labour reminded me of all the sacrifices mom's make.

AJ was so excited about Saidie, every time we asked him where the baby was he was he would go over to who ever had her and just stare. He loved touching he soft hair and was so gentle with her. She was smacking her lips a little so AJ put his finger in his mouth and she sucked on it. He was so exited, he looked up at me with a big smile and said, "ooooooooo" Anyways it was really cute, one day he's going to be a great big brother. Until then he will just have to settle for a new little cousin this December!

Baby Time!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! We would like to be the first to publicly congratulate Mike and Brittany on their brand new Baby girl born just 1 hour ago! She was 9 pounds 2 ounces and apparently just as cute as little Jordan was. We can't wait to meet her and hear what name they decide on, until then we will be keeping little Jordan safe and sound! Congratulations again!!!

Home, Sweet home.

After the longest travel day ever, we are home! We had a great time on our trip but I must say it feels good to be back home. After getting all the Laundry done and hitting the grocery store we went out to Mom and Dads for BBQ burgers. It was so nice to see everyone and visit about the past week, now we just need to get out to Fort McLeod and that will be everyone. Also we wanted to say a big HAPPY 30TH ANNIVERSARY to Aaron's parents.

The were married 30 years ago June 3rd and seem just as happy as ever. It's pretty rare to have a 30 year marriage now a days, sad by true, so congratulation! And thanks for giving us such a great example of love to fashion our marriage after. So now it's back to the real world, we are working hard to get everything in order for our big move to Portland in just 3 1/2 months. I can't believe how the time has flown by since Aaron got him acceptance letter. We'll be gone before you know it.

Heaven on Earth

Today was another beautiful hot day down here in Mesa. We got up this morning at 5:30 and got ready for 8:00 church. The ward we attended was just awesome and the spirit was really strong. It was a great block of meetings for all of us and AJ did really well. We had some lunch and after a nap we got ready to visit the Temple grounds. WOW, it was so beautiful to see the temple grounds and the temple. Dad, I can't believe that you lived just one block away from this gorgeous building during your mission, talk about motivation! We walked around taking picture, looking at the details, and slowly roasting! It was 105 while we were out there and I had forgotten to put AJ's sunscreen on! We had to seek shelter in the visitors center. We were able to get these really cute pictures of AJ and Alaina on this petrified tree that was donated to the temple.

They had this really neat room that displayed paintings and photographs depicting the Savior's life. AJ was being fussy so Aaron took him out so that I could take my time and enjoy this unique room. All the images were ones that I had never seen before and the spirit was so strong you simply could not deny feeling it. After looking around, visiting with the sister missionaries, and taking pictures with the Christus statue, we got back in the car and came back to the condo.

Please notice how everyone else in this picture is black and I am still just as pasty as ever, I swear that I have been out in the sun just as much as all of them!

Wet and Wild

On friday we decided to take a trip to the SunSplash Waterpark. I thought it would be better to go on friday because it would be way busier if we went on saturday. Boy was I wrong! We showed up to the park around 10:30am and it was already packed with hundreds of kids running around everywhere. Luckily for us we found a secluded picnic area that was surrounded by these tall bushes where no one was sitting, so we set up camp there. It was like our own private area, it was awesome. Anyways, it was really busy so we only went on a couple of the slides. Lacey and I went on this tube slide that went up and down, it was pretty cool. AJ had a blast in the kids pool, and floating down the lazy river. He also had a long nap in his little tent. We spent most of our time sun tanning, and by the mid afternoon we were all pretty crispy, so we decided to head home. After cooling off at home, we went out to eat at BJ's restaurant, which was delicious, and then went to Cold Stone for some ice cream.
On saturday morning AJ woke up nice and early, so Grandpa and myself took him for a walk. Grandpa found some baby killdeer down by the lake, so we went out to take some pictures of them. The babies couldn't fly yet, so when we got close to them, they would lie down and hide in the grass. Grandpa found one and showed him to AJ. We continued our walk around the lake but I guess AJ was still a little tired and he fell back asleep. After he woke up from his nap, we all went to the mall to go shopping. Mom and Grandma could have shopped all day, but mine and Grandpa's feet were getting too sore, so we decided to go home. That night we went out to dinner at the Bonefish Grill, and it was pretty good too. Not as good as Famous Dave's, though! Mmmmm Mmmmm, I can't wait to eat there again!P.S. Here's those golf pictures I promised, Dad this was Dad's amazing 60 foot puttg
